Rodgort's Empty Palm is a PvE Team oriented build that utilizes
the elite skill Way of the Empty Palm and Mark of Rodgort for a
relatively free quick in, kill, quick out attack chain that causes
burning while attacking. This build has very limited use in
PvP.
Attributes and Skills
Equipment
- Armor: Max Shrouded Armor, Critical Mask
- Runes: Major Critical, Minor Shadow Arts, Minor Dagger, 3x
Runes of Attunement
- Weapons: Fiery Daggers are a requirement, while an Enchanting
Mod is greatly desired, it's not 100% necessary
Usage
After choosing your target, cast Conjure Flame and either pause
to regen a little energy or follow with by Mark of Rodgort. Cast
Way of the Empty Palm and Shadow Walk to your target. Start with
either Black Lotus Strike (while target is Hexed) or Golden Phoenix
Strike. Follow with Critical Strike, the unused off-hand, and
Critical Strike once it's recharged.
- Re-apply Mark of Rodgort if/when it's stripped only to use
Black Lotus Strike.
- If the target goes down before Shadow Walk ends, use Dark
Escape, select your next victim, re-apply Way of the Empty Palm
(and Conjure Flame if necessary) and Shadow Walk to the next
target.
- You may also use Dark Escape to end Shadow Walk prematurely if
a quick escape is needed
- Be sure to use Way of the Empty Palm BEFORE Shadow Walk, as
Shadow Walk does not allow casting of Enchantments while under it's
effects.
Counters
Blind, Evade, and Block will shut this build down, while
Enchantment stripping and Hex removal should only slow it.
Variations
- Replace Black Lotus Strike with Black Spider Strike to add
poison on top of the burning as well.
- Replace Dark Escape with Feigned Neutrality for +armor &
health regen during the retreat.
- Replace Way of the Empty Palm with Shadow Prison, and Shadow
Walk with Feigned Neutrality.

- Please note: This would require a change in attribute
allocation moving points from Deadly to Shadow
Notes
- This build is currently designed for Team PvE play. Let the
Warrior/Aggro-magnet go in first, letting you pick off targets
one-by one.
- You can pretty much use ANY stance to end Shadow Walk/Prison, I
chose Dark Escape for the Duration, Movement Speed Increase, and
Half Damage.
