The A/N Boon Prot Bane is what the name states. It's specifically aimed at eliminating those annoying mainstream boon prot monks. It's also very good against healing monks if your timing with Exhausting Assault is good.

Equipment

• Your armor of preference.
• Best Vigor rune possible. Superior Rune of Critical Strikes. All other runes minor to conserve health.
• A dagger with a dagger handle of Enchanting, such as Daggers of Xuekao

Usage

• Always keep Dark Apostasy and Critical Eye up. Be aware of Dark Apostasy's cast time.
• Use Golden Phoenix Strike and follow with Critical Strike.
• If the boon prot has Mantra of Recall or Aegis wait for them to use either and use Exhausting Assault instead of Critical Strike.
• When afflicted by an undesirable condition, use Plague Touch to directly transfer it to your target.
• When low on health use Shadow Refuge.
• Use Caltrops for catching fleeing foes and also for escaping pursuing enemies.

Counters

• Interrupt or remove Dark Apostasy with Shatter Enchantment or similar skills.
• Low self-healing makes it vulnerable to spike damage.
• Empathy or Spiteful Spirit.
• Aegis, Guardian, or similar skills (assuming you can't interrupt them).
• Evasive stances such as Escape (unlikely to be encountered on a typical boon prot)
• Heavy energy denial (which is pretty unlikely to happen).

Variations

• Switch Caltrops for Sharpen Daggers to constantly bleed the monk and have a backup Enchantment for Golden Phoenix Strike.
• Switch Golden Phoenix Strike and Critical Strike for Disrupting Stab and Fox Fangs for not having to rely on being enchanted and getting a further interrupt.
• Switch Critical Strike or Exhausting Assault for the ever-so-popular Twisting Fangs for extra conditions. (not recommended with Sharpen Daggers)

Notes

• If you did not opt for the Sharpen Daggers variation, you can use Shadow Refuge if Dark Apostasy gets removed to have a short opportunity to use Golden Phoenix Strike.
