The Water Trident Snarer elementalist utilizes various Water Spells to pressure and hinder the opposing team with Slow, Miss, Knockdown, and direct damage.

• Armour with Survivor insignias.
• A staff with dual 20% faster casting water mods.

Usage

• Cast and maintain Water Attunement.
• Slow pursuing or fleeing opponents with Freezing Gust.
• Knockdown incoming or fleeing opponents with Water Trident.
• Target clumped groups of enemies with Ice Spikes and Deep Freeze.
• Try to afflict more than one enemy with Blurred Vision, Warriors or Assassins in particular.
• Glyph of Lesser Energy is to maintain your energy, precast it before using your more expensive spells.

Counters

• Standard caster counters...Backfire etc...
• Excessive energy denial.
• Excessive interruption.

Variants

• Aura of Restoration can replace one of your water hexes to provide a cover enchantment as well as a self heal.
• Glyph of Sacrifice and Resurrection Chant may be used in GvG or HA.
• Blurred Vision can be switched for Aegis. Reduce energy storage to 9+1 and up Protection Prayers to 9 and use a weapon with an enchantment-lengthening mod.
