Forum Link Code:N-Me SS Vermin Farmer
This build combines aspects of the N/Me Death Farmer and a
standard N/Me SS Nuker build to farm small groups of Vermin in Xaquang
Skyway.
Attributes and Skills
- Plague
Sending could be used instead of Plague Touch, but it
sacrifices health and detracts from survivability. It's also
significantly less spammable, meaning you remove conditions
slower.
- Insidious Parasite can be removed and a different skill can be
used in it's place, preferably a skill adding to
survivability.
- Those who have trouble with energy may consider switching a
skill out for Channeling.
Equipment
- 60 + 10 AL Necromancer armor works best, but is probably not
required.
- A rune of vigor/vitae can fill in the space left by the
required runes.
- A Wicked Staff from one of these collectors, modified with an
Insightful/Defensive staff head and a staff wrapping of
Curses/Defense:
-
- The
Stonereaper may work very well, but the defensive mods on the
above staffs may improve survivability.
Usage
Before aggroing, activate Physical Resistance and Awaken the
Blood. Wait for some energy to recharge, then activate Arcane Echo
and cast Spiteful Spirit on the first Vermin. Quickly switch
targets and cast the Echoed Spiteful Spirit on the next vermin, if
you fail to do this quick enough it may be interrupted. If you
still have time, use your remaining energy to cast Insidious
Parasite on one (possibly two, if you have enough energy) vermin,
to heal you as they attack. While under attack, use Plague Touch
frequently, while switching targets, to both remove powerful degen
from yourself and transfer it to the vermin. As they start to die,
use Well of Blood and Soul Feast to heal yourself and counter degen
while you pick off the last few. Wait for energy to recharge,
rinse, and repeat with the next group.
Counters
- Large numbers of Vermin may overwhelm this build before SS can
take them out.
- Interrupts. If they interrupt the second SS, or one of your
IPs, it may be hard to survive and get the drops.
Variants
- I haven't had a chance to test this with creatures other than
vermin, though I suspect it is capable of farming trolls and other
physical damage dealers. Just switch out Plague Touch for another
healing or defensive skill.
- The Channeling variant, as listed above under the skill
bar.
Notes
- This build takes some practice to get timing down, and master
control of the corpses.
