Attributes and Skills
Equipment
- Armor with Minion Master Insignias works the best.
- NO health+
- One Piece of Armor with Bloodstained Insignias
- Most minion Masters prefer Death Staves or Wand/Focus combos
with HCT Death Spells.
Usage
- Minion Masters Should stay towards the back of the fight before
they have minions.
- After the MM Has Some minions, they should stay in the midline
to be in range of corpses when they become available.
- Never let yourself die with minions. Kill them off with Taste
of Death, or have Dark bond redirect your damage to them.
- The MM should heal themselves though a self heal they
bring.
- Use blood of the master to keep your minions alive, but be
careful when your under fire or there are multiple MMs in the
party.
Counters
- Corpse Denial
- Anti-Caster Conditions and Hexes
- Scourge Healing Placed on Minions can increase the damage you
take per BoTM.
- Spam DIsabling SKills(you are spamming BoTM After all.)
Variants
The Minion Masters bar can vary greatly, but it usualy has one
melee minion, fiends, blood of the master and some self heal. Other
spots include damage mitigation, or damage spells.

A Minion Bomber also uses minions, but instead of trying to
maintain 10 minions they create cheap minions and blow them up with
death nova on them.
Variants with Secondary
Professions
Necromancer/Warrior
The warrior Secondary doesn't offer much to the MM, you can use
some of their stances for defensive measures.
Necromancer/Mesmer
The Mesmer secondary can add some enegy management, as well as a
couple spells to spread conditions.
Necromancer/Ranger
The ranger secondary can add a variety of options for an MM.
Necromancer/Monk
The monk secondary is usuauly favoured for its self heal
abilities.
Necromancer/Elementalist
The elementalist secondary can give energy management and
methods of chaining long casting spells.
Necromancer/Ritualist
The restoration line can add many optins for self healing and
defense.
- Weapon of Warding For self Defense
- Splinter Weapon Can be used on Vampiric
horrors for additional healing as the area of effect from each
"splinter" will heal you as well.
- Wielder's Boon Can be used in combination with
wielder's boon for a self heal.
Necromancer/Assassin
The assassin line can add a few twists to a standard MM.
- Assassin's Promise Can be used on a Minion
spawned from Malign Intervention, which can quickly be taken
control of and killed off.
Necromancer/Paragon
The paragon can add support to your minions increasing your
damage output.
Necromancer/Dervish
The dervish line can add some defense and healing abilities.
Different Builds
Although variants are talked about, there are a few builds that
are seen more then others.
Necromancer/Any:Flesh Golem
MM
- This Minion Master uses Flesh Golem's higher health to use
Taste of Death as a self heal without killing it.
- You may instead alter the attributes and use a different self
heal other then Taste of Death.
Necromancer/Any:Aura of the Lich
MM
- Other Alternatives to Blood Renewal are Mystic Regneeration and
Healing Breeze.
- This MM uses AoTl and Regeneration to spam Blood of the master
and keep minions alive.
- Best used in parties with multiple MMs.
Necromancer/Any:OoU MM
- The optional spot is best served with a self heal such as Heal Area.
- The Sacrifice from the Build will be very heavy so be careful
when you use OoU.
Necromancer/Any:Jagged Nova
Bomber
- The Minion Bomber uses cheap, disposable minions and uses them
as bombs with death nova to deal high armor-ignoring damage.
